My grandfather Tuiu decides for the second time to leave his house and start a life elsewhere, he lives  with the street hardships, and the fact of leaving is linked to the depredation of that place.

No profession, no say, no freedom of expression. Life as a prince consort is not exactly pleasure taxing. No constitution ascribes any function to the husband of a queen. Nowhere does it say what he must or must not do. A life in the shadow of the crown. Can that go well?

A quiet morning unfolds as I prepare an andouille for breakfast. Simple and serene, “Breakfast” captures the start of the day in its most peaceful moments.

"Tawan," a little girl, tries to memorize her own story in preparation for a speech contest on Mother's Day, while "Duen," her grandmother, practices ballroom dancing in an effort to preserve as many of her memories as possible before the two must part ways.

When Ines died, she left a very particular legacy, 10 books that read 'For my children'; it was the story of her life. Marked by a youth idyllic love, Ines was forced to marry a violent and womanizer man with whom she had 20 children. In the 50s, she managed to get divorce and 20 years after her death, Luisa, great-granddaughter of INES, reads, rescues and makes visible her history.

From the 1950s to the 1980s, these testimonies unfold a history of rural life: we move away from a peasant and family model to industrial agriculture for export. Through these family images, I attempt to answer my own questions about our agricultural future. In the 1950s, the land of Île-de-France fed us.
