Polypedates megacephalus, a small and inconspicuous tree frog, is now growing strong and ready to take over here and there in Taiwan. Over and over, scientists and volunteers try to remove them to protect our native frogs. At the same time, the loud mating calls of cane toads, the other massive invaders, are unfortunately heard in central Taiwan. An all-out ecological catastrophe seemed inevitable as they look so innocent that we could hardly imagine.

A small exploration in the cemetery from the township of Sainte-Colombe throught a focus into the light, graveyards, flaggings and funerary plaques.

Deep in Mexico’s mushroom-rich forests, two women from indigenous communities have become mycologists. A race is on to save Gabon’s Moukalaba-Doudou National Park and the silverback gorillas that call it home. Once, this area was protected by a thriving oil industry, but now, big companies are moving out and the logging industry is poised to move in. Ecotourism could be the only way to prevent the trees of this rainforest from coming down, but a team of conservationists needs to make the gorillas of Gabon tolerant of humans first. Follow them as they get up-close with the gorillas, study their moves, and journey to war-torn Central African Republic to learn the secrets of successful gorilla habituation.

In this retrospective tribute, acclaimed filmmaker Jean Walkinshaw hails the 100th anniversary of Mount Rainier National Park in Washington by talking to those who know it best: the scientists, naturalists, mountain climbers and artists whose lives have been touched by the peak's far-reaching shadow. The result is a harmonious blend of archival material and high-definition footage celebrating an icon of the Pacific Northwest.

Over a 10-year period, more than 300 people disappeared from the area surrounding Tanzania's Lake Tanganyika. At first, the disappearances were attributed to a serial killer or tribal warfare, but scientists eventually discovered that the culprit was a huge, man-eating crocodile dubbed "Gustave." This fascinating PBS documentary chronicles scientists' efforts to trap Gustave and move him to a nature preserve before he strikes again.
