A long-form 'artist moving image' documentary film that sits in a fictitious conceit that begins in a distant future, inspired by Russell Hoban’s cult novel ‘Riddley Walker’. A medley of documentary, fantasy, song and dance: shot on a tapestry of celluloid film stocks and developed by hand.

In this wildly entertaining vision of one of the twentieth century’s greatest artists, Bob Dylan is surrounded by teen fans, gets into heated philosophical jousts with journalists, and kicks back with fellow musicians Joan Baez, Donovan, and Alan Price.

'Behind The Garden Gate' is a documentary film about homegrown biodiversity and the challenges that come with it.  In the 1970s Guus Lieberwerth and friends cleared a patch of agricultural wasteland in order to take care of rare and endangered plants and animals.  ​Now, 50 years later nature is thriving within a hidden paradise just five minutes away from a city centre, but even closer to systemic pressures and land developers.

Standing near the reptile section in a zoo we can learn a lot about the animals on both sides of the separating glass.

Sunny. Semantic sequences guide the gaze, a gaze that is sometimes raised, propelled downwards, then too high or motionless in front of an unrecognizable and yet so familiar vision. The images, linked by echoes of chromatic palettes and linear layers, scroll to the rhythm of a voice, reminiscent of an incantation. Sacred.

“Balance of Life” is a film about life’s and human kinds’ fight to find the balance between our own evolving life style and the nature of the planet we inhabit. The human race is drifting further and further away from its real roots and from what being a human is really about. The speed of development has increased to a state where humans have a hard time keeping up. We find ourselves in a situation where both our own and the planets’ wellbeing is severely threatened. As a last resort human is relying on faith to find the balance. Is faith the last defense of man or is this world guided by forces greater than us? The Film follows the initiatives of conservation biologist Purnima Burman and her quest to involve community women in Assam, to save the Hargilla, a critically endangered bird, coming together as the Hargilla Army.

Deep in Canada's remote Yukon, a dramatic coming of age story unfolds involving an adolescent grizzly named Sophie. Wildlife filmmaker Phil Timpany has chronicled her all her life. Now he's capturing her first steps into adulthood--and motherhood--and the many challenges threatening both her and her rambunctious cubs. Witness Sophie's journey as she learns the ropes, trying to balance her own needs with feeding and protecting her young. More than half of all grizzly cubs die in their first year, so Sophie has little room for error.

This is an installation documentary created in 2015. The quiet process of making boxes indoors reflects the author's patience and caution, the narration when the screen is black reflects the author's familiarity and confidence in what he wants to express, and the dodging perspective and trembling picture when facing the crowd outdoors reflect the photographer's cramped and alienated. A lot of things happened after 2015, and the film was re-edited. The current version has almost used the best materials of that year.
