Four fearless and intrepid girls get selected by a recording company to undergo martial arts training in China to prepare themselves as a pop group. However, they are forced to disband one year later after their recording company goes under. Will these girls have the courage to stand up against all odds to fight for what they really believe in?

This martial arts comedy features several kung fu performers, including two Venoms Chiang Sheng and Lu Feng, portraying a couple of kung fu deities God of Chopstick and God of Bowls that take in a mortal student (Peter Chang) to do away with an army of supernatural enemies.

In Hamburg, Ibrahim "Ibo" Secmez, of Turkish descent, wants to direct the first German kung-fu movie. For now, he makes commercials for his uncle's kebab restaurant. Titzie, an aspiring actress and Ibo's German girlfriend, finds she's pregnant. Ibo is uncertain about fatherhood - compounded by his father's disowning him for getting a German girl pregnant - so Titzie sends him packing. He makes attempts at getting it right, but as the birth approaches, he's still not ready. In the background are three thugs in search of good tripe soup and a Capulet-Montegue feud between the kebab joint and a Greek taverna across the street. Can Ibo be the glove upon that hand?

Wong, bodyguard to a tycoon, is fired by his boss's son after he fails to save his boss. Now, the assassins are after the son, who takes refuge in a slum. Wong, meanwhile, tackles the villain's goons.

SLUGFEST emerges as a playful, engaging martial arts experience that delves into the "inner-feminist struggles" that have characterized recent years and decades. Yet, unlike narratives of division, this film champions the concept of unity, emphasizing the dire need for solidarity and deeper mutual respect within feminist discourse.  The film's central motif is a stylized, choreographed sparring training that, while aimed at empowerment and self-discovery, can sometimes escalate beyond control. This metaphorical approach isn't about antagonism but represents the passionate debates that fuel progress and understanding, even when they momentarily seem to get out of hand.  "There is no losing in martial arts. Either you win or you learn." - as Karate Kid would say today.

Returning home with his father after a shopping expedition, Wong Fei-Hong is unwittingly caught up in the battle between foreigners who wish to export ancient Chinese artifacts and loyalists who don't want the pieces to leave the country. Fei-Hong must fight against the foreigners using his Drunken Boxing style, and overcome his father's antagonism as well.
