Although Dave (LeVar Burton) and his family are poor sharecroppers in the Deep South in the 1930s, this 15-year-old's problem is shared by teenagers today: he stands with one foot in adulthood and the other in childhood. "Almos' A Man", yet still treated like a child, he struggles for an identity. There's one thing, one symbol of manhood, Dave thinks, that could guarantee him instant respect: a gun.

Can 3 young girls grow closely through the bittersweet journey of womanhood?

The oldest son of a loving and strong family of black sharecroppers comes of age in the Depression-era South after his father is imprisoned for stealing food.

Coming Through the Rye, set in 1969, is a touching coming of age story of sensitive, 16 year old Jamie Schwartz, who is not the most popular kid at his all boys' boarding school. Disconnected from students and teachers, he believes he is destined to play Holden Caulfield, the main character of The Catcher in the Rye, and has adapted the book as a play.

Marlon is visiting her mother in jail for the first time since her imprisonment.

A young boy wrestles with a deepening sense of remorse after the sudden disappearance of his friend. When those close to him begin to question his involvement, he is forced to make a life-altering choice. Themes of friendship, guilt, and redemption are examined against the backdrop of a scorching summer in the rural South.

An orphan endures a harsh life in a workhouse before fleeing to London, where he falls in with a gang of juvenile pickpockets led by the criminal Fagin, and eventually finds a better life, exposing the cruelties of poverty and child labor in Victorian England.

Teenaged Beata, disgusted with hypocrisy around her, runs away from home.

Xe and Y cross paths by chance at the door of a café, in a meeting that feels as if it were written by fate. Between them, something is born that is as fleeting as it is universal — that rare instant when we recognize someone even before knowing who they are. Revois follows this encounter that could belong to any of us and that, perhaps — just perhaps — asks to happen again.”
